About

Think back on those perfect days.

You know that one simple, yet perfect, day that you think about when you’ve had a second to breathe?

The one where nothing extraordinary happened, but the world seemed to slow down, and you just were?

That day a few years ago when you woke up naturally before your alarm, the sun streaming into your bedroom, and you felt refreshed.

You took the dog for a walk, sipped your morning coffee, and time was slow in a peaceful kind of way. You laughed and ate delicious food with loved ones. And while you didn’t think it at the moment, you know if someone saw you, they’d think, “That’s the kind of life I want.”

THAT’S what I’m about.

Helping you get back to those moments (and having more of them)…

The ones that don’t really seem special except that they comprise all the tiny, wonderful things and people you love in life.

You just know that when you look back, you won’t remember the work emails or the hours you spent aimlessly scrolling through Instagram.

Not even the “what ifs” that keep your mind spinning will be memorable except for the unnecessary suffering they cause and the regrets that linger.

You definitely won’t remember that stressful presentation or awkward foot-in-mouth faux pas – except, of course, to laugh about it later.

No, the life you want to create for yourself, heck, the life you’ve been spinning your wheels and fighting so hard to get, is filled with those simple moments that truly matter.

So, how do you get to there from here?

With help.

I know, I know, you don’t like asking for help. But think of it more like learning.

A growth opportunity to understand

why you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, not like yourself;
how the strategies you’ve been using to try to fight and struggle
with your mind are actually – accidentally – making it worse;

where to focus your precious, precious time and energy to build the life you want for yourself;

what to do to make concrete, permanent changes to not only sleep better, worry less, and have more balance,

but enjoy life in the process.

That’s what I’m here to help you do.

It’s not always easy, but it is simple. And I’ll be right here with you.

I’m a total nerd. I can geek out with the best of them about the science and theory and research on why our brains do the infuriating things they do.

I even train other mental health professionals on the type of work I do with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT; pronounced as one word ‘act’). And if you’re interested, I can help you understand why this is all happening to you now.

But what I love even more is the doing part of our work, which helps you learn a new approach to your mind. It’s working with you to notice the stuck patterns, learn to sit with the painful stuff, and pivot toward what matters to you regardless of what’s going on in your world.

What I love most is the look on your face when it clicks, and all the work we’ve been doing comes together and you tell me about the full night of sleep you got, how you handled a tough situation without a panic attack, or the moment you learned to not get sucked down the mental rabbit hole. To me, that look is a combination of wonder and freedom – from feeling like your mind and emotions run the show.

As cheesy as it sounds, I’m here to help you take back the reins.

So, take some time to look around the site if you need more convincing, but then go ahead and schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

Take that first step toward the life you want to lead.

About Me

I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and an emphasis in Behavioral Medicine way back in 2017. Since then, I’ve lived in Ontario, Canada; South Florida; and most recently, Los Angeles, California.

I love comedy shows, laughing with my friends, going on adventures with my dog, Ollie, and lazy Sundays curled up with a wonderful book (urban fantasy, paranormal romance, or something psychology related). I spend way too many hours researching random things on YouTube. And I enjoy wandering around new areas, soaking in the sunshine, breathing in the smell of nature, smiling uncontrollably at every pup that walks by, and trying not to sing out loud to whatever song I love at the moment as it plays on my headphones.

I’m a big proponent of “practice what you preach,” so I’ll be the first one to say I’m not perfect, but I’m appreciating growing and seeing what happens next.
