Anxiety and Panic Attacks

Controlling everything is starting to feel out of control.

No matter how much you want to get a handle on it, there are some things you can’t control.

Maybe your mind is constantly racing, throwing out every awful “what if” scenario.

Or maybe your body keeps betraying you: heart racing, can’t breathe, shakiness.

Despite everything you’ve done, it keeps growing and getting worse.

“Will this ever go away?”

Whether you’ve struggled with worry your whole life or just had a panic attack for the first time, anxiety can be crippling.

No matter how many times you tell yourself your fine, reality doesn’t quite seem to matter in the face of intrusive thoughts and sudden bouts of panic.

The fears, “what ifs,” and desires to avoid conflict make you feel like you’re walking on a tightrope while trying to keep up with everyday life.

Can therapy even help me?

It may feel like you’re stuck with anxiety forever, but there are effective therapies for the treatment of anxiety disorders.

I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy or ACT (said as one word) for the treatment of anxiety. ACT works to help you understand why your mind and body are seemingly betraying you, identify unhelpful patterns, build strategies for getting unhooked from negative thoughts, engage in exposure work that is proven to help with panic and avoidance, and to change default mental and behavioral patterns all in the service of focusing on what is important to you in your life.

We may also incorporate other types of therapies such as mindfulness work, relaxation strategies, and exposure protocols to help with panic attacks, sleep issues, and racing thoughts.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, there is hope.

Together, we will work on making anxiety a small part of your life so you can focus on the things that truly matter. Schedule a free 15-minute consult to begin your journey now.
